CŎCĪNA is an Italian restaurant in Châtelain. You can enjoy their terrace also in sunny days. The day we went, the restaurant was full, even though it was a weekday. If you want a good & efficient service, you need to go to a busy restaurant. In busy restaurants, waiters have a reason to circle the space, eager to have their eye caught. For starter, we've ordered a antipasti full of vegetables, Italian jambon & cheese. The colors made me more starving. Simple, delicious & enough for 2 persons.
For main course,Tagliatelle al pomodor with tomato sauce and basil was enjoyable, the pasta having pretty good texture . with cheese and olive oil was pleasant, having a respectable level of concentration of flavor and being properly seasoned .
The scaloppina di vitello with truffle sauce had reasonable flavor and it was as fresh as it might be. The Italian wines were fruity and perfectly matched with dishes.Service was a bit stretched on this busy evening, but dishes came at a steady pace, and our waiter was friendly and capable.
In a sunny day all you need for a dessert is a fresh panna cotta with raspberry. My favorite one! It was incredibly delicious. You need to try that.
It appears to be pretty successful so far. They trying for a combination of simple food with a fair price and a good quality. You can enjoy your Italian dish in a cosy ambiance. I always remember something when I want to choose an Italian restaurant, "Choose the one where an Italian eat there". I think that's the rule for choosing the right place. By the way, I've seen many Italian costumer that day :).
