Pillows hotel is a newly branded Hotel opened in September 2017 in Brussels , easy to access by car and public transport. Station Midi is just 1 km away and if you have a car, there is a valet parking service or private parking which is available just around the corner.

I've decided to try Pillows since it is too new to this city & share my experience with you. There is something interesting about Pillows that they don't have reception desk! When you walked in, all the staffs will welcome you warmly and offer you a drink in such a pleasant area they have in the lobby. We are in March but Brussels is still cold and enjoying a drink beside Pillows fire places was really cozy. The lobby is well decorated, modern but not cold. You can feel that there is a thought behind each piece. Loved the style.

I was assigned a Luxury Room upon check-in . The room I got was quite nice but It was one of their basic rooms, apparently, their category starts from Luxury room, Grand luxury room and suit. The room had a spacious thing that you don't see a lot which was a separate bathroom and toilet. You feel like you are at home.

I generally like to stay in internationally-branded properties because of standard expectations . With that being said, Pillows does nothing have less than these international hotels in services and quality.

We've arrived around 7:30 pm & they have already prepared our room . The light of the room was balanced for the evening and the bed was ready for us to sleep.

As part of my welcome amenities, I've received some a personal and hand written letter from the hotel and some cookies which I was too stuffed to eat since I came from dinner at their restaurant which just located downstairs - complimentary bottled water is also provided in the room besides each side of the bed. When you do your check in, someone will come to you and explain about the hotel and your room and will walk you to your room, which I think it's a nice touch.

In fact, if you are feeling thirsty, the Luxury room here at Pillows comes with a complimentary minibar.

Some bath accessories are also provided in the bathroom for your personal needs.

As I have mentioned earlier, I was invited for dinner at the Hotel. The place was romantic with the lights and the wine was delicious. Started with a really good white wine and mise en bouche which was lentils, beet cream and salmon. It was favorable and beautiful at the same time. .

Starter was a combination of Brussels sprouts, mashed potato. Colorful and beautifully decorated and of course it tastes as it looks.

For the main course, had red wine with duck which was perfectly cooked but still juicy. Each dish was well balanced in ingredients, colors and quantity. Another things that I have to mention is about bread. I think fresh bread is so important in a restaurant and here you can enjoy a crispy warm bread.

Since my room reservation came with complimentary breakfast, I decided to head down to enjoy one before I leave. In case you are wondering, this is exactly where I had dinner the previous night but it was even cozier with the sun light. Beautiful marble kitchen island was shining in the morning. There was a breakfast menu which included coffee or tea, eggs, croissant and bread, jams, fresh fruits and granola with yogurt. They have served everything at the table one by one for each guests and I think that was the second unique touch by Pillows.

The Pillows was actually different from a regular hotel room - the location is great (for checking out cool restaurants and drinking places), the rooms are quirky and the decor is just anomalously refreshing. If you are here on a business trip or you wish to stay in a good location (which remaining close to the city center), Pillows truly offers a great alternative take on the cookie-cutter type of hotels here in Brussels.
