Orange Marmalade

Oranges are low in calories and full of nutrients, they promote clear, healthy, skin and can help to lower our risk for many diseases as part of an overall healthy and varied diet. So, what do you think of having an orange per day? What can we make that easy and possible?!

4 oranges 1/2 cup stevia or Maple syrup 1 cup orange juice

Boil the orange slices for about 8 minutes in a large pot with 1 cup of orange juice.

Add the stevia or maple surup and stir well until all is combined for a few minutes.

Continue to simmer the mixture for about 25 minutes, stirring every once in awhile

Remove from heat, let the oranges cool.

The thickness of your marmalade depends on you. You can add more orange juice or let it to to simmer more to become ticker but be carful and stir it more consistently to keep it from burning. Notes* I don’t use sugar a lot but if you prefer an original marmalade, you need to replace maple syrup with sugar. I didn’t cut my oranges to small pieces because i usually serve them with tea but if you like to have this marmalade on your toast for breakfast cut it into small piece while you are cooking them.
